This International Repair Day we’ve got something to celebrate and we’d like your help!
On the 18th October 2009, Martine Postma ran the first Repair Café in Amsterdam. In the 15 years since, over 3000 groups have started across 6 continents and in over 40 countries. There are over 600 groups in the UK alone, and Portsmouth is one of them, having launched 6 and a half years ago.
To celebrate we’re launching our first ever Cake Design Competition. On International Repair Day, we have our pop-up Repair Café happening at Christ Church URC in Milton. As well as an opportunity to get help fixing your electrical, general, fabric, jewellery items and help sharpening knives and tools, we’ll be celebrating the 15 years of Repair Café with a special cake.
So get thinking and designing. What could our amazing cake look like?
